Extensive tutorial for game programming

I haven't gone through much of it yet. It looks like the beginning is a little slow (Hello World), but it seems to get into more advanced stuff. For those of us that are total newbs to game programming (or even programming in general) and not sure where to start, it looks like this could be a major help.
