Publising about Games, Gaming, and Gamers
As I mentioned in my introductory post, I'm editor of a journal which focuses on fandom and media studies. You can find details for our first CFP here.
Topics relevant to this group might include any of the following: gamer culture, game reviews, game development group dynamics and/or practices, story development, literary/cinematic criticism of game narrative, devoted fan followings, fan reaction to game revelations (ie: Samus being a girl), gaming evolution, tech innovations, game music and scoring, art styles, etc.
It's really quite open-ended and can involve any sort of game from any platform (table top, TCG/CCG, PC, console, mobile, etc.). Further, you can do work on present developments or on some historical question.
We are also hosting a conference next June, sponsored by A-Kon.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I look forward to your submission.

Per the link in my original post, you must have your article submitted by 15 December to be included in the first edition. We accept article submissions year round, however, and publish quarterly. Ours is a peer-reviewed online journal edited by a mix of professors and professionals in various fields. Publishing with us, or with any reputable journal, would be an excellent line item for a CV. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
