Point and Click Adventure Game NEED 2D ARTISTS !
Hello everyone I'd like to start work on a Point and Click adventure soon. Probably using Adventure Game Studio. I don't quite know what all I'll need team wise for it, so if you're interested let me know and we can start figuring things out
But what is the game about you ask?
Well here are a couple of the ideas I have right now. I'm not sure which I like the best/would be best to work on. So I'd like you all's opinions on them.
Idea 1:
"It's a Ruff Life"
A Putt-Putt style adventure for kids(adults could still enjoy some of the humor.) About a dog whose master is a meanie and throws the ball over the fence and the dog can't get to it. It would be a short but entertaining adventure about the dog trying to figure out how to get over to get the ball.
Idea 2(this one still needs quite a bit of development):
A Saw or Still-Life style game where it is all about the thrill and characters. Creepy but not gross, never goes too far as some people would think Saw does. It has a ground in something that could actually happen so as to make it even creepier. Maybe as a twist, the character(s) you play as are convicts in a prison who are being tortured and killed by guards of the prison. Who is the true evil?
Idea 3:
A children's cartoon character falls out of his cartoon world into reality in a really bad part of town. The character is one of those edutainment ones thats always thinking of things as good and all that, think like Dora being dropped into reality. The character is very ignorant of everything going on as there are gangs and death and sex and destruction that the character just doesn't understand. By the nature of the character he decides its his job to try to fix it. (Probably sings a song about it and then promptly almost gets shot). So through the game you would be trying to figure out different ways to try to change the people and make them "good" or at least the character's perception of his idealized "good world". It would be mostly based off of the culture shock style humor, and well created characters. Every time the cartoon character tried to change people or the world, it wouldn't work because it was such a radical change he was trying to provoke.

concept art
I can't really be anyone's heavy weight animator, but I could help out some with concept art. I'm particularly interested in the 2d kids game.

Awesome! Yeah, the kid's game is actually the one I'm thinking I want to start work on first. I'm wanting the art to be somewhat similar to the old school Putt-Putt/Pajama Sam/Fatty Bear/Freddie-the-Fish games
Example:
Except the whole thing will be centered around dogs and the backyard and a couple different dog houses(one of the doghouses is a "Mansion" doghouse). By concept do you mean, just ideas and then have someone else draw it in a form that would be used? Or just draw backgrounds, or characters, but not character sprites or what?
I've PM'ed you some of my contact details should you like to talk about this in an easier way apart from the forums.

Re: Point and Click Adventure Game NEED 2D ARTISTS !
I could make a variety of sketches, characters, setting, style ect., with the basic description/idea you give me. The group could pick the ones they liked, or give suggestions for how to change it. From there I could either alter the drawing or make new ones till we end up with an image of what we want this game to look like.
Since I don't yet know how to do illustration on the computer I'll have to stick to preliminary stuff. But as log as it can be done with pencil and paper then I'm ready to go.

Awesome, now if we can get another artist or 2(preferably at least one skilled in computer assisted art) and one musician I should be set creatively, I still need to play around with Adventure Game Studio to decide whether or not I will be able to code it all myself or if I will need some help.
