I want to learn Empty I want to learn

This is the field that I would like to get more practice in with the club. Having played tabletop rpgs for so long, and designing one of my own, I have an alright understanding of some game mechanics. But not as much as I'd like, so I want to learn from some of you more experienced folk.

I don't exactly have much experience in this area, but I found these books to be very informative:
Game design: the art & business of creating games
Rules of play: game design fundamentals

#AltDevBlogADay has some good articles too.
